Summerhill closure - from Douglas Promenade to Summerhill Place

Summerhill Closure – 25 November 2018 until 21 December

Douglas Promenade Refurbishment works will continue with a road closure on Summerhill for a period of 4 weeks from 25th November through to 21 December 2018. This will be from the bottom of Summerhill up to Summerhill Place – a distance of 100 metres. In addition there will be a coned area  with narrow lanes on Douglas Promenade northwards towards King Edward Road with a restriction of 20mph commencing from this date. Parking will be suspended on Strathallan Road and Royal Avenue as shown on the traffic management map below.

These closures are to enable the contractor, Auldyn Construction working in conjunction with Manx Utilities, to carry out essential installations and investigative works. Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times. Hours of workings will be 8am-5pm Monday to Friday plus 8am-noon on Saturday with a possible extension in hours in order to meet the Road Closure notice period.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. A key component to this scheme’s success in ensuring that updating all services is carried out at the same time. If you have any questions relating to these works please contact Auldyn Construction on 662466. During working hours the MyProm team can be contacted on 686363 or via email myprom@gov.im should you have any concerns.
