Traffic lights on Douglas Promenade – 2-way from Tuesday 7 May – manually controlled!
The traffic lights have been in situ for just over a week now. Thank you all for your patience and cooperation. The traffic lights are now 2-way and will be manually controlled to ensure flow is maintained. This additional traffic management is allowing the contractor to finish off the tram line corridor.
Please do not ‘jump’ the lights. See traffic management plan for all the details.
Granville Street road closure from Tuesday 7 May 2019
Granville Street will be closed to vehicles from Douglas Promenade with effect from Tuesday 7th May 2019 for up to one week. This is to facilitate the installation of gas and water mains. All existing services will be maintained throughout the works. It is anticipated this works will be completed within 2 days so please check www.myprom for updates. All vehicles will be prohibited with pedestrian access being maintained
Deliveries: Some goods vehicles will require access via Howard Street, exiting through Castle Street. Access will be maintained to the rear service lane. Normal delivery times between 5pm-10am will be enforced. See Granville Street road closure for all the details of this closure.
