Regent Street closure

Regent Street will close again on Monday 10 June 2019 with works commencing from Victoria Street junction on Loch Promenade through to Howard Street. Howard Street entrance is unaffected for this phase so please use this controlled pedestrian crossing.
This is to facilitate the installation of water and gas mains plus block paving. The temporary surface will be removed to allow these works to take place.
Heras fencing (including debris netting) will be installed along the whole of this area both on the highway and on the footway (pavement).
In order to carry out these works it is necessary to displace all parking, both landside and seaside,  from Victoria Street to Howard Street. This will allow 2 way single traffic flow. Parking will be available on the Walkway between the War Memorial and the Bottleneck car park but please note the walkway will re-open from noon on Tuesday 11 June 2019.
Pedestrian access to all entrances will be maintained.
Exact timings of the works will be conveyed as soon as possible but please estimate in the region of a 2-3 month period. See traffic management plan
