The contractor, Auldyn Construction and its sub-contractors, will be working on multiple fronts with effect from Monday 18 February 2019.
The team are carrying out enabling works on Loch Promenade, from the junction of Victoria Street, northwards (Victoria Street is unaffected). Within a couple of weeks they will have reached Regent Street, which will involve a road closure from mid-March through to 24 May 2019. No works will be carried out during TT.
Delivery access for businesses will continue through Howard Street, exiting via Duke Street, if required, once Regent Street closure comes into place.
A parking suspension will come into place on Loch Promenade in mid-March with a large section of on-street parking being displaced onto the Walkway. Please click link for traffic management.Regent Street

Summerhill slip road
From Monday 18 February 2019 traffic coming down Summerhill will be required to use the slip road onto Douglas Promenade as one half of the bottom of the hill will be closed for works. Driving up Summerhill, towards Onchan, will not be restricted.
HGV’s will be prohibited from coming down Summerhill with diversion signs in place at the junction of Strathallan Road. These works will continue up to 22 April 2019. Again a detailed traffic management plan is available by clicking this link
Empress Hotel to Esplanade Lane
Due to the works a parking suspension will be in place, on both landside and seaside, in this area. Please note this area will be coned from Sunday 17 February 2019. Vehicles should not park in this area and note that, cones on pavement or on highway, are liable for parking tickets or if delaying the works be towed. These works will take up to 2 weeks.
