Wall move at Marine Gardens number 6 (Sunken gardens)

To facilitate the introduction of a disabled access ramp into this garden (known as the Archibald Knox garden) the MyProm Contractor will be re-building a small section of the wall. These works will be done in conjunction with the ongoing Promenade Refurbishment Scheme and tie into the new location of the single tram line adjacent to the gardens.

Festival of Motorcycling

Although the majority of works will stop from Friday 23 August for the Festival of Motorcycling, some works will continue within the heras fenced areas. On Loch Promenade, highway drainage will continue to be installed; at Queen’s Promenade, on the seaside,  kerbing will continue to be installed.

Trial holes

Just for information, a number of small circular samples have been removed from the coloured concrete. These are part of the ongoing investigation into cracking concrete. They are temporarily filled with tarmac but will be re-filled with coloured concrete in due course.

For any questions re the works why not drop into the public office which is open Monday to Friday 9am-4.30pm at the Sea Terminal.
