Stakeholder drop-in session tomorrow

A further stakeholder drop-in session will be held tomorrow (Wednesday 6 November 2019) at The Claremont hotel. The team's Business Liaison Officer, Karl Millar, along with the Project Manager, Keith Podmore, will be present as will representatives from The Department for Enterprise and Manx Utilities.

The funding and support period of application has been extended by the Department for Enterprise. They have created two temporary schemes to support local businesses affected by the works. Certain eligibility criteria may apply, but visit their website below for full details.

The Douglas Promenade Marketing Scheme
Marketing Consultancy and workshops through Bold Consultancy with £2,000 marketing budget per business.


The scheme is available to all retail and catering businesses situated along the promenade and adjoining streets, as defined on the map available here.

The Douglas Promenade Support Scheme
Single grant payment of £6,000 for businesses that evidence 20% downturn in turnover.

The Department also runs several other business support schemes.
