Loch Prom

Loch Promenade:

Parking is available on the highway both landside and seaside. In order to complete the scheme a lot of changes on Loch Promenade have taken place, specifically in the Sea Terminal area. There is lots of signage in place - please click HERE to see all the changes. All bus stops and crossing points are now in operation, along with additional bicycle and motorcycle parking areas. A new taxi rank has been positioned outside Tower House with the head of the rank close to Quid's Inn.

Harris Promenade

The new roundels at Broadway and Church Road Marina are now fully operational. Drivers should approach unmarked junctions, like the two roundels, slowly and smoothly, giving way to other users. Drivers are reminded that no one has priority at an unmarked junction and they should be cautious and considerate when navigating through the junction. Finch Road has now returned to its original direction (One way from Christian Road towards the Tynwald Buildings).

Central Promenade

Parking has been suspended on the highway in front of Clarence Terrace to  facilitate the construction of the rail corridor. There are currently a set of traffic lights in this area. As part of the de-scoping  of the program the tram lines will now finish in this area.  Continuation of the rail corridor will be constructed during future winter months. Businesses are open on Castlemona Arcade as usual, with access to the Palace Cinema and Palace Hotel.  The weekend of the 6th 7th and 8th November will see the section of Promenade from the Broadway Roundel towards the Empress hotel closed off to through traffic as the final surface layer of tarmac is laid. This work is weather dependent and may be pushed forward, updates will be found Here

Queen's Promenade

The final surface or wearing course of tarmac has been laid from The Regency Hotel all the way through to to Castle Mona Drive. with the Seaward side of Queens Promenade completed. Parking has returned to both sides with only a small amount of line painting remaining to be done. Again please remember this section is still restricted to 20mph while work continues.

The program gives an overview of the areas planned work is set to commence over the next 4 weeks. The schedule is split between North and South along with Harris Promenade and sub sections of seaside and land side.
